Adventures in the Desert

Three months out of the year Arizona is unbearably hot. So hot, that if you want to do anything involving the great outdoors, you best have your activities done by 9am—otherwise you'll lose half your body weight in sweat and guarantee yourself a spot on the obituary page.

But this past weekend would mark the climatical turning point, once again affirming why snowbirds flock to the Southwestern desert to live out their winters.

The quick trip centered around a visit to Meems post-surgery, but Foo was eager to traipse through the dirt, admiring the desert flora and fauna of Pinacle Peak (Mexican Bird of Paradise; a Foo favorite) with Meems in tow.

Mama Foo and Bunny would end the weekend with a happy discovery: the Gila Monster slide in Cave Creek.
