Foo loves July for 3 simple reasons: watermelon, early morning light by which to run, and the Tour de France!
2008 marks the 95th Annviersary of le Tour de France. The event will take place from July 5 to July 27, 2008; starting in the French city of Brest. The Peloton will enter Italy on the 15th stage and return to France during the 16th—heading for Paris, its final destination, in the 21st stage.
Normally Ms Foo would be rooting for home town favorite Levi Leipheimer. But because Astana (the team Levi left Discovery for...doh!) was barred from the Tour due to its involvement in the doping scandals that marred the 2007 Tour and its links to the 2006 Operación Puerto doping case, Levi and his lycra-wrapped fanny can't participate this year.
